Short answer: your AI assistant does more than answer questions. It can take a visitor from “what do you charge for this?” to a submitted request without you touching anything, and it hands the conversation to you when it should not be handling it alone.
It answers questions about your business #
The assistant answers from what you have given it: your services, your prices where you have set them, and any documents you have uploaded. It does not invent details it has not been told — where it does not know, it says so and offers to pass the question on.
That restraint is the point. An assistant that guesses your prices is worse than no assistant.
It creates the request for you #
This is the part most people do not expect. When a visitor describes what they need, the assistant can create the request itself, in the conversation, without sending them to a form.
The request lands in your dashboard like any other, with the conversation attached, so you can read what was discussed before it arrived. From your side the deal starts as it always does — you write a proposal and carry on.
For the visitor, the difference is that they never faced an empty form. They described their problem in their own words and were done.
It hands over to a person #
When a visitor asks for a human, or the assistant cannot help, it stops rather than looping and shows the request form instead, so the visitor can leave their question and their details. The conversation is flagged as having asked for a person. Nothing alerts you at that moment, so it is worth glancing at Conversations regularly — someone who asked for you is a warm lead, and nothing chases it on your behalf.
What you decide, and what to ask for #
How it behaves is yours to set. The assistant follows the business context and documents you give it. By default it stays close to your material: it will not quote a price you have not set, and it will not negotiate. If you want it to handle those differently, you say so in your business context.
Be deliberate about that one. An assistant that can discuss a price range qualifies better; one that improvises numbers can commit you to something you did not intend. The cautious default is a choice, not a limitation.
What it does not do today. Out of the box the assistant does not send proposals, contracts or invoices, and does not take payment. Those steps stay with you.
If your business needs the assistant to do something it does not do yet, that is worth asking for rather than working around. Tell us what you need it to handle and why — capabilities can be added for a specific use case.
Making it better over time #
The assistant is only as good as what you have given it. Two things improve it more than anything else:
Prices on your services. Where a service has no price, the assistant cannot give one, and the visitor is left where they started.
Reading abandoned conversations. They show the questions that lost people. Every one is a gap in your business context or your documents, and closing them is the highest-value editing you can do.
Frequently asked questions #
Will it make things up about my business? #
By default it answers from what you provide, and where it has nothing it says so and offers to pass the question to you. How far it may go beyond your material is set by the business context you give it.
Can it take a booking or payment? #
Not today — it collects the request, and proposals, contracts, invoices and payment stay with you. If you need it to go further, send us a request.
What if a visitor asks for a person straight away? #
It hands over. Asking for a human is always honoured, not argued with.
Do I have to use it? #
No. Your public request page and forms work whether or not the assistant is switched on.
Need help? #
If this page did not answer your question, send it to us. Tell us what you were trying to do and what happened instead — that is usually enough for us to spot the problem straight away.
