Short answer: the Expert Agent screen is where your assistant’s knowledge is written down, reviewed and published. It works in versions: you edit a draft, read it, publish it when you are happy, and roll back if a change turns out badly.
Why versions #
Your assistant speaks to prospects in your name. A change to what it knows is closer to changing your website copy than to changing a setting — it deserves reading before it goes live, and undoing if it goes wrong.
So edits do not take effect as you type. They accumulate in a draft, and the draft becomes live only when you publish it.
Getting the first version #
You do not start from a blank page. ReqMe assembles a first draft from what it already has — your website, your services and your business details — and marks the places where it did not have enough information.

Those marks are the point. They are the questions your own material does not answer, listed for you. Filling them in is the fastest improvement available.
Reviewing before publishing #
Read the draft as a prospect would, not as its author. The useful questions are whether anything is wrong, whether anything promises more than you deliver, and whether the prices are ones you would honour today.
Pay particular attention to anything drawn from your website. Sites go out of date quietly, and a claim you stopped making two years ago can survive there and reach a prospect through the assistant.
Publishing #
Publishing makes the draft the live version. From that moment it is what visitors get. Before it can go live it has to pass its test cases; if you have none yet, ReqMe says so and you either add cases or override the gate with a written reason.
Publish deliberately rather than continuously. A version you have read end to end is worth more than five versions you edited in a hurry.
Rolling back #
If a published version turns out worse than the one before it, go back to the previous version. This is the reason the whole thing works in versions, and it is worth remembering it exists before you experiment.
What belongs here, and what does not #
This is for durable knowledge: what you do, how you work, what you charge, what you decline. It is not the place for a temporary note about being on holiday next week — that will still be there in March.
Frequently asked questions #
Do my edits go live immediately? #
No. They sit in a draft until you publish it.
Can I see what a draft would say before publishing? #
Yes — you can preview the draft version rather than publishing to find out.
What if I publish something wrong? #
Roll back to the previous version, then fix the draft properly.
What are the marked gaps in the first draft? #
Places where your existing material did not say enough. They are suggestions to fill in, not errors.
How is this different from Knowledge? #
This is the written core of what your assistant knows, in your words. Knowledge is for supporting documents it can draw on alongside that.
Need help? #
If this page did not answer your question, send it to us. Tell us what you were trying to do and what happened instead — that is usually enough for us to spot the problem straight away.
