ReqMe supports five payment providers. If you have not chosen one yet, start with Connecting a payment provider — it covers Stripe, PayPal, Paysera, Monobank and Mollie side by side. This article is the detailed Stripe walkthrough.
Connect your Stripe account to accept credit card payments directly through ReqMe invoices. This guide walks through the setup process.
Why Connect Stripe? #
With Stripe connected, your clients can pay invoices online with one click. Benefits include:
- Faster payments – clients pay immediately from invoice emails
- Automatic tracking – payment status updates in real-time
- Professional experience – seamless checkout without leaving your brand
- Multiple payment methods – cards, bank transfers, and more
Requirements #
To connect Stripe, you need:
- A ReqMe account — no particular plan is required
- Your business details, which Stripe will ask for during onboarding
- An existing Stripe account is not required — ReqMe can create the connected account for you as part of the flow
Connecting Your Account #
- Go to Integrations in your ReqMe dashboard
- Find the Stripe section and click Connect
- Log in to your Stripe account when prompted
- Authorize ReqMe to connect to your account
- Return to ReqMe – you will see a confirmation message
ReqMe uses Stripe Connect, which keeps your Stripe account separate and secure. ReqMe never stores your Stripe credentials.
After Connecting #
Once connected:
- New invoices automatically include a Pay Now button
- Clients can pay by card without creating accounts
- Payments deposit directly to your Stripe balance
- ReqMe updates invoice status when payment completes
Payment Fees #
Stripe charges standard processing fees which vary by country and payment method. Check Stripe’s own pricing page for the current rates where you are. ReqMe does not add additional fees on top of Stripe processing.
Managing Your Connection #
View connection status and disconnect if needed from the Integrations page. If you disconnect, existing unpaid invoices will no longer show online payment options until you reconnect.
