ReqMe includes an AI-powered pre-sales assistant that helps qualify leads and gather initial request information from potential customers. This guide explains how to configure and optimize your AI assistant.
Accessing AI Assistant Settings #
Navigate to AI & Docs → Pre-sales Bot from your dashboard. Here you will find two main configuration areas: the Context Editor and RAG File Upload.
Setting Up Your Business Context #
The Context Editor is where you provide information about your business that the AI uses to have informed conversations with potential customers.
What to Include in Your Context #
- Services offered – Describe what you do, pricing ranges, and typical project scopes
- Business hours – When customers can expect responses
- Service areas – Geographic locations you serve if applicable
- Qualification criteria – What makes an ideal customer for your business
- Common questions – FAQs about your services and how to answer them
- Tone guidelines – How you want the AI to communicate (professional, friendly, technical)
The context field supports up to 50,000 characters. Write in clear, natural language—the AI will use this information to respond appropriately to customer inquiries.
Uploading Reference Documents (RAG) #
The RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) file upload allows you to provide additional documents that the AI can reference when answering questions.
Supported Use Cases #
- Service catalogs and pricing sheets
- Portfolio descriptions and case studies
- Company policies and terms
- Technical specifications
- FAQ documents
Upload relevant documents to give your AI assistant deeper knowledge about your offerings without manually copying everything into the context field.
Saving Your Configuration #
After making changes to your context:
- Review your text for accuracy and completeness
- Click Save changes to update the AI assistant
- Test the assistant through your public request page to verify responses
Best Practices #
- Be specific – Vague context leads to vague responses
- Update regularly – Keep pricing and service information current
- Include boundaries – Tell the AI what topics to avoid or defer to you
- Test thoroughly – Ask sample questions to ensure quality responses
Your AI assistant appears on your public request page and helps customers understand your services before submitting a formal request.
