Contracts formalize the agreement between you and your client. ReqMe makes it easy to generate contracts from accepted proposals and collect electronic signatures.
Creating a Contract #
After a client accepts your proposal, click Create Contract from the request detail page. ReqMe pulls information from the accepted proposal to pre-populate the contract.
Contract Sections #
A standard ReqMe contract includes:
- Parties – Your business and client details
- Scope of Work – Services to be delivered (from proposal)
- Payment Terms – Amounts, schedule, and methods
- Timeline – Start date, milestones, completion
- Terms and Conditions – Legal terms governing the agreement
- Signatures – Electronic signature fields for both parties
Adding Terms and Conditions #
Include standard terms to protect your business:
- Cancellation policy
- Revision limits
- Intellectual property rights
- Liability limitations
- Confidentiality clauses
You can save default terms in your settings to automatically include them in future contracts.
Sending for Signature #
Preview the contract, then click Send for Signature. Your client receives an email with a secure link to review and sign electronically.
Electronic Signatures #
Clients sign directly in their browser—no printing or scanning required. ReqMe captures the signature, timestamp, and IP address for a complete audit trail. Once signed, both parties receive a copy of the executed contract.
After Signing #
When the contract is fully executed, the request status updates automatically. You can now create invoices and begin work on the project.
